Privacy policy
Last updated 14 September 2026
This policy covers u2secured.com, the root domain. The products have their own policies, because they handle entirely different data.
Analytics runs here, and nowhere else
u2secured.com is the only place we measure anything. The password vault, the authenticator portal and both mobile apps ship no analytics code at all, and the two sites’ security policies block analytics providers outright — so none could load there even by mistake. This is a property of how the software is built, not a promise about intent.
For what the products collect once you have an account, see the policies at vault.u2secured.com and auth.u2secured.com/privacy.
What this site collects
Two things: anonymous usage statistics, if you accept them in the banner, and whatever you type into the contact form so that we can reply. There are no accounts here, and nothing is kept about you between visits beyond your analytics choice, which stays in your own browser.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and move through this site — which pages are read, roughly which country a visit came from, what browser and device were used, and which link or search brought someone here. Google acts as our processor and sets a cookie so a returning visit is not counted as a new person. It is not used to identify you, and we do not connect it to any account.
Google Signals is enabled, which adds aggregated age, gender and interest data — but only for visitors who are signed in to Google and have allowed that there, and we only ever see it in aggregate.
None of it starts until you accept the banner. Decline and the site behaves exactly the same. Before anything is sent we remove the part of a URL after the # and every query parameter except campaign tags; your vault contents, master password and encryption keys are not on this site at all.
You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the banner back, or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Google’s own privacy policy explains what they do with the data.
Sharing
Analytics is processed by Google. Contact form messages reach our own support desk on our own infrastructure. We use no advertising networks, no data brokers and no session-recording tools, and we do not sell your personal information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold, to object to how it is processed, or to withdraw consent. Declining analytics, or clearing this site’s data, withdraws it immediately. For anything else, ask us and we will action it.
